AASA’s Redefining Ready! is a multi-metric, research-based approach to determining what it means to be college ready, career ready. This sample dashboard (reflective of the work currently underway in High School District 214, Illinois) provides a one-page metric summary that can serve as a template for school districts interested in this issue.

College ready indicators include College Readiness Placement Assessment data and student completion of college level coursework. College/Career Indicators also include the percentage of graduates during an academic year who criteria related to both college and career dispositions, habits of mind, and skill sets. Career ready indicators range from attendance and community service to participation in workplace learning experiences and career credentialing. The dashboard also considers Dual Credit Career Pathway coursework and organized co-curricular activities.
