This report highlights the achievements of AASA’s Redefining Ready! cohort, which includes 14 states plus Washington, D.C. The cohort is responsible for reshaping national conceptions of how educational systems can successfully prepare all students for success in post-secondary education, the world of work, and as life-long learners. This report highlights successful preparation practices and showcases school districts that have successfully transformed their approach preparing students for the future.

This AASA sample policy was developed to assist states in developing the indicators used to determine whether or not their students are ready for college and careers. The policy can be applied to their individual state definition of college and career readiness and can be adapted to meet the needs of individual states.
